In October 2017, Katowice Airport handled 313 527 passengers overall. This translates to 68 443 more (+27.9%) in comparison to October last year. In terms of regularly scheduled services, the airport handled 222 947 passengers, 37 288 more (+20.8%), and in terms of charter services, 89 325 passengers, 31 277 more (+54%) than in the corresponding period last year. It's worth noting that for the first time in its history, Katowice Airport handled over 300 000 passengers in October.

From the beginning of the year, Katowice Airport has handled 3 446 654 passengers, which is 600 410 more (+21.1%) than in the January- October period the previous year. Over the 10 months of this year, the airport has handled 2 055 512 passengers (246 309 more; +13%) with regards to regularly-scheduled services and 1 382 745 passengers (355 252 more; +34.6%) in terms of charter services, in comparison to the same time period in 2016.

With around 3.85 million passengers expected to pass through Katowice Airport in 2017, Katowice Airport will achieve the best result in its history with regards to passenger handling - more than 600 000 more passengers than in the previous year. With over 4 million passengers forecast to pass through Katowice Airport next year, the Upper Silesian Aviation Group, which manages Katowice Airport, is looking to breaking more records in 2018.
