August 2018 recorded the best result of any August in Katowice Airport's history. Overall, Katowice Airport handled 694 127passengers, which translates to 147 794 more (+27%) than in the same time period last year.

In terms of regularly-scheduled services, the airport handled 301 264 passengers, 54 864 more (+22.3%) than in August 2017. August this year saw 392 321 passengers travel to and from package holidays from Katowice Airport. This is 93 241 more (+31.2%) in comparison to the previous August.

Katowice Airport recorded 4 924 take offs and landings in August, which is 626 operations more (+14.5%) in comparison to August last year.

Katowice Airport celebrated handling its three-millionth passenger in 2018 - on 15th August 2018. This event took place 37 days earlier than in 2017, when the three-millionth passenger passed through the airport on 21st September. 

From the beginning of the year to the end of August, Katowice Airport handled 3 374 875 passengers (regular and charter), which is 724 542 more (+27.3%) in comparison to the same time period in 2017.
