During first six months of 2025, the cargo terminal at Katowice Airport handled 21,954 tonnes of freight, i.e., 2,412 tonnes more (+12.3%) in comparison with the same time in 2024, when 19,542 tonnes of cargo were noted in Pyrzowice. The result for the first half of 2025 is the best in the airport's history; the Katowice Airport cargo terminal handled 2,292 tonnes more (+11.6%) than in the first six months of 2022, when record-breaking 19,662 tonnes of freight were noted.

June 2025 was the best single month in the history of Katowice Airport when it comes to cargo traffic4,398 tonnes of cargo were handled, i.e., 203 tonnes more (+4.8%) in comparison with the last best month: April 2025 (4,195 tonnes of freight).

Air cargo is one of the most important areas of traffic at Katowice Airport. Among others, the following companies have established branches in Pyrzowice: DHL Express, UPS and FedEx. Since October 2024, all-cargo flights are realized to Katowice Airport from Ürümqi (China); in April 2025, Lufthansa Cargo commenced scheduled all-cargo flights on the Frankfurt – Katowice – Frankfurt route. Katowice Airport is the first airport in Poland from which the carrier handles regular cargo flights. Additionally, Lufthansa Cargo operates a road feeder service (RFS) freight consolidation facility in the airport's cargo terminal; it is based on transport of goods between airports via trucks. Each RFS operation is treated like a flight; every truck is assigned a flight number.
