On 25 June 2025 (Wednesday), Ryanair handled the 10-millionth passenger on flights to/from Katowice Airport. Mr. Mateusz was the lucky passenger; he flew to Pyrzowice from Catania, Italy.

Ryanair is present at Katowice Airport since November 2007, when the airline handled its first flight from Pyrzowice to Dublin. On 29 October 2019, the carrier launched its base at Katowice Airport.
