On 6 December 2023 (Wednesday), Anex Tour, a Turkish touroperator, officially opened its office at Katowice Airport. The office is located on the first floor of passenger terminal B in the landside area.

The board of directors and employees of Anex Tour Poland, led by Iker Adiguzel – the General Manager – as well as Artur Tomasik, the President of the Board of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA), and the management staff of GTL SA, representatives of the customs service and handling company all participated in the event.

In 2023, Anex tour considerably strengthened its presence on the charter market at Katowice Airport. The operator offers flights from Katowice Airport to Turkey (Antalya), Egypt (Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Sharm El Sheikh), Bulgaria (Burgas) and Greece (Heraklion).

The Turkish travel agency handles its flights mainly via Skyline Express' Boeing 757-300 aircraft (275 seats). The airline belongs to Anex Group.

In 2023, approx. 55% Anex Tour Poland customers flew on holiday from Katowice Airport. During next year's summer season, Anex Tour's offer at Katowice Airport will also include Tunisia.
