Passenger Traffic Grows at Katowice Airport
From January to the end of September 2023, 4 484 592 passengers were handled at Katowice Airport. The four millionth traveller was noted on 10 September; never before have so many passengers been handled so quickly in the history of the airport. Previously, four million passengers have been served at Katowice Airport three times: on 2 October 2018, 6 October 2019 and 10 November 2022.
During first nine months of 2023, 2 248 607 passengers flew on regular flights to/from Katowice Airport. The following destinations were the most popular in that segment of traffic: Dortmund, London-Luton, London-Stansted, Eindhoven and Frankfurt. 2 220 157 passengers were handled on charter flights; travellers most often flew from Katowice Airport to Antalya, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Rhodes and Heraklion.
35 647 aircraft operations were noted at Katowice Airport between January and September 2023.
