On Sunday 27 March 2022 the summer schedule went live at Katowice Airport; air carriers launched two new regular routes.

Abu Dhabi (Wizz Air)

On Friday 1 April 2022 Wizz Air launched flights from Katowice Airport to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The route is available on every Monday and Friday. Wizz Air established a base at the airport in the capital of the UAE on 15 January 2021. During "Summer 2022," the carrier will offer several interesting destinations, to list only Alexandria and Sohag in Egypt, Amman and Aqaba in Jordan, Almaty and Nur Sultan in Kazakhstan, Muscat and Salalah in Oman, and Mattala in Sri Lanka.

Venice (Ryanair)

On 27 March 2022 Ryanair launched flights from Katowice Airport to Venice Marco Polo Airport. Flights are handled by Ryanair and are available three times a week: on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. In addition to Venice, there will be eleven routes to Italy during "Summer 2022" at Katowice Airport.
