2014-03-10Agreement with the Silesian Logistics Centre

Work continues on the development of an integrated transport system in the Silesian province, combining including road, rail, air and inland waterways.

The next stage of the development of this project was the signing, on 5 March, of a cooperation agreement between the Upper Silesian Aviation Group - the group managing Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice, and the Silesian Logistics Centre.

In accordance with the agreement both parties will strive to seek solutions contributing to growth, increase competitiveness and accessability to inland waterway transport, road, rail and air transport in the Silesian provice, in order to ensure the sustainable development of intermodal transport.

As well as jointly pursuing marketing and promotional campaigns, GTL and the Silesian Logistics Centre have declared mutual promotion of its products, including the industry-specific events in Poland and abroad.

The agreement was signed by Artur Tomasik, President of GTL and Jerzy Zachara, President of SCL. This is the second agreement of its sort signed by GTL. In December last year, a similar agreement was signed with Euroterminal Slawkow.
