2008-04-09Centralwings suspends timetabled flights

Polish low-cost airline Centralwings has suspended regular timetabled flights on routes from Katowice International Airport (KIA) in Pyrzowice to the UK and Ireland. Centraliwings aircraft will continue to operate flights from KIA to Dublin until 18th April and to Edinburgh and Shannon until 29th April. These changes are the result of the decision by the Group's owners - LOT Polish Airlines, to reduce the Centralwings fleet as of the 2008 summer season.

In 2007, Centralwings had a 6.5% share of all regular timetabled flights from KIA, whereas in the first quarter of 2008, this figure was 5.3%.

For more information regarding the suspension of Centraliwngs flights, please contact the Centralwings Call Centre 0 801 080 112 - from local land lines and +48 22 420 57 75 for mobile phones and international calls.
