In terms of cargo traffic, the past six months have been significant for Katowice Airport, owing to several large long-haul cargo charters. We've included several video clips of the arrival of large cargo aircraft to Katowice Airport.

1. Russian airline Polet Flight, Il 96-400T aircraft visited Katowice Airport twice in the first half of 2011. The first of these was 2-3 February. The aircraft accepted 90 tons of cargo on rpute to Moscow. The Polet Flight's aircraft's second visit to Katowice Airport took place 15 May when the airline was performing an operation from Japan. The Il aircraft carried sub-assembly parts for one of the automotive manufacturers within the Katowice Special Economic Zone.

3. Another historic event taking place in the past six months in terms of cargo traffic at Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice was the handling of two Boeing 747-400BCF Jumbo Jet aircraft in one day.
