In February 2018, Katowice Airport handled a record-breaking 224 366 passengers overall. This translates to 46 068 more (+25.8%) in comparison to the corresponding time period last year. For the first time in the airport's history, regularly-scheduled and charter services handled more than 200 000 passengers travelling to and from Pyrzowice in the second month of the year. February 2018 was also the 13th month in a row showing growth in double figures.

The past month showed growth in both regularly-scheduled as well as charter services. Overall, 184 414 passengers used timetabled services, which translates to 36 020 passengers more (+24.3%) than in February 2017. In terms of holiday destinations available from Pyrzowice, 39 567 passengers, which translates to 11 186 more (+39.4%) in comparison to the same month a year earlier. In the shortest month of the year, aircraft performed 2332 operations - this is 562 more operations (+31%) than in the second month of 2017.
