In terms of passenger traffic figures, 2018 was the best year in Katowice Airport's history. The airport noted record-breaking results in all segments of passenger traffic - overall results, regularly-scheduled services and charter services. 

Overall, Katowice Airport handled 4 838 149 passengers, which translates to 945 208 more (+24.3%) in comparison to 2017.

In terms of regularly-scheduled services, the airport handled 2 845 004 passengers -  421 135 more (+17.4%).

In 2018, 1 974 235 passengers chose charter airline services, which is 514 837 more (+35.3%) than in the previous year.

2018 also saw the threshold of 40 000 take-offs and landings break, which precisely 41 007of these taking place throughout the year - 6 282 more (+18%) than in 2017.
