September 2018 was Katowice Airport's 27th month in a row of growth in passenger traffic in general. In addition, it was the best result of any September in Katowice Airport's history.

Overall, in the thirty days encompassing September, Katowice Airport handled 603 017 passengers, which is 120 223 more (+24.9%) in comparison to the same time period last year. 

A significantly higher number of travellers used regularly-scheduled and charter (package) services. In terms of regularly-scheduled services, Katowice Airport handled 269 734 passengers, which is 41 378 more (+18.1%) with regards to the previous September. The airport handled 332 550 package (charter) passengers, which translates to 78 458 more (+30.9%) in comparison to the corresponding time period last year.

In total, Katowice Airport has handled 3 977 892 people in the first nine months of 2018. This is 844 765 more (+27%) than in the January to September time period in the previous year. It's worth noting that this number is more than in 2017 in its entirety, when Katowice Airport handled 3 892 941 passengers.
