In the fifth month of 2024, Katowice Airport handled 583 111 passengers, i.e. 111 667 mroe (+23.7%) in comparison with the same time in 2023. It was the best May in the history of the airport; the previous record comes from 2023.

Regular flights – handled by Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines and Air Dolomiti/Lufthansa – saw 283 365 handled passengers, i.e. 29 372 more (+11.6%) than in May 2023. Most popular were scheduled flights to Dortmund, London-Luton, London-Stansted, Catania and Milan.

298 189 travellers flew on charter flights, handled on behalf of travel agencies, i.e. 81 727 more (+37.8%) than the year before. In May 2024, passengers most often flew on holiday to Antalya, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Djerba and Heraklion.
