In the third quarter of 2020, i.e. from July to September, 622 889 passengers were handled as part of the total passenger traffic segment; the result is lower by 1 264 926 (-67%) in comparison with last year. 369 724 travellers, i.e. 424 449 less (-53.4%) than in 2019, were handled in the regular traffic segment. 251 924 passengers – 838 058 less (-76.9%) than in the third quarter of 2019 – were handled in the charter traffic segment. From July to September, 8 338 aircraft operations were handled at Katowice Airport; the end result is worse by 6 096 (-42.2%) in comparison to 2019.

From January to September 2020, Katowice Airport handled 1 283 155 passengers, i.e. 2 632 587 less (-67.2%) than during the same period in 2019.
