On January 15, 2020, Ryanair officially commenced a new regular route at Katowice Airport: Kherson, Ukraine. The Irish carrier will handle the route twice a week: on Wednesdays and Sundays. Kherson is one of twelve new routes introduced by Ryanair during the "Winter 2019/2020" schedule, and the seventh one available from Katowice Airport to Ukraine.

Apart from Kherson, passengers travelling with Ryanair from Katowice Airport may fly to two other destinations in Ukraine: Odessa and Kyiv-Borispol.
