July 2018 was a record-breaking month in every sense of the word, at Katowice Airport. A new record was set in the number of passengers handled overall, of all regional airports in Poland.

In terms of regular and charter traffic (overall traffic), Katowice Airport handled 694 415passengers. This translates to 155 488more (+28.8%)in comparison to July last year. This also means that the record set in June this year, which saw 581 003 passengers handled, was broken.

Also, a record number of aircraft operations was noted, with 4 989 (+19.4%)takeoffs and landings recorded. On average, there were over 160 takeoffs and landings every day in July. In July, in terms of regular traffic, Katowice Airport handled 304 687passengers, which is59 195 more (+24.1%)than in July 2017. The most popular routes are: London-Luton (32 700 passengers), Dortmund (26 400), Eindhoven (13 500), Warsaw (11 300) and Frankfurt (11 200).

In terms of holiday travel (charter traffic), in July, Katowice Airport handled 389 106passengers: 96 066more (+32.8%)than the previous July. The five most popular holiday routes in July were: Antalya (41 500), Burgas (39 000), Bodrum (32 000), Heraklion (22 000) and Varna (19 700).
