On 28 April 2023 (from 11am) an alternative road to/from Katowice will become available. When leaving the airport, the road goes via route 913 to a newly-constructed roundabout, which currently leads to the intersection with ul. Siedliska. From there, the road allows to access route 78 via an intersection with ul. Wojska Polskiego; from there, it is possible to join expressway S1.
