In October 2017, Katowice Airport handled 313 527passengers overall. This translates to 68 443 more (+27.9%)in comparison to October last year. In terms of regularly scheduled services, the airport handled 222 947passengers, 37 288more (+20.8%),and in terms of charter services, 89 325passengers, 31 277more (+54%)than in the corresponding period last year. It's worth noting that for the first time in its history, Katowice Airport handled over 300 000passengers in October.

From the beginning of the year, Katowice Airport has handled 3 446 654passengers, which is 600 410more (+21.1%)than in the January- October period the previous year. Over the 10 months of this year, the airport has handled 2 055 512passengers (246 309more; +13%)with regards to regularly-scheduled services and 1 382 745passengers (355 252more; +34.6%)in terms of charter services, in comparison to the same time period in 2016.

With around3.85 millionpassengers expected to pass through Katowice Airport in 2017, Katowice Airport will achieve the best result in its history with regards to passenger handling - more than 600 000 more passengers than in the previous year. With over 4 million passengers forecast to pass through Katowice Airport next year, the Upper Silesian Aviation Group, which manages Katowice Airport, is looking to breaking more records in 2018.
