Katowice Airport

Work is underway to create a large, Silesian intermodal hub, in the future, taking into acount transport by : air, rail, road and inland waterways.

One of the stages, is the agreement of cooperation between the Upper Silesian Aviation Group - which manages Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice, and Euroterminal Sławków.

Connecting rail and air freight transport from a terminal with a unique offer - access to both European-standard-gauge and wide-gauge railway lines. This creates opportunities for more effective freight spedition worldwide.

As the preamble to the agreement states, both parties will strive to search for solutions leading to development, increasing competitiveness and access to rail and air transport, leading to a development of intermodal transport.

The Upper Silesian Aviation Group and Euroterminal Sławków will realise joint marketing and promotional activities. Among others, in order to achieve this aim, both companies have declared the will for joint-promotional activities during industry events both nationally and abroad.
